MathWorks MATLAB R2025b
The numerical computing environment and its language, bundled with the full toolbox set and Simulink so nothing is missing when a model asks for a block you do not have.
A structured touch typing course with graded lessons, timed tests, targeted drills on your own weak keys and a background analyser that watches real work.
TypingMaster is a structured course rather than a typing game. It starts with the home row, adds keys in the order that builds muscle memory fastest, and does not advance until accuracy on the current set clears a threshold. That gating is the part that works. Most people who type badly type quickly and inaccurately, and the only cure is being held at a slower speed until the errors stop, which a self directed practice tool will never enforce.
The lesson structure runs from basic key introduction through numbers, punctuation, capitalisation, the numeric keypad and finally speed building on real text. Each lesson has a short instruction section, a drill, and a test, and the results are recorded against your profile so progress across weeks is visible as a curve rather than a single score. Multiple profiles are supported, which matters when a family or a classroom shares one machine.
The analysis is the feature that separates it from a free web trainer. Every keystroke in every exercise is recorded, and the application builds a per key profile of accuracy and reaction time. Weak keys are identified automatically and the tool generates custom drills weighted towards them, so practice time is spent on the specific letters and combinations you actually get wrong instead of the ones you already know.
There is also a background analyser that runs while you do ordinary work in other applications. It measures speed, accuracy and hand balance across a real working day, then reports where the errors concentrate and suggests short targeted exercises. Because it is measuring real typing rather than exercise text, the picture is more honest than any test, and it can be turned off entirely for anyone who does not want a keystroke measurement running in the background.
Read the whole list before you start. Most of the reports that come into the desk about this title turn out to be a step taken out of order.
| Processor | Any 1 GHz or faster processor |
|---|---|
| Memory | 2 GB minimum |
| Storage | 300 MB free |
| Input | A physical keyboard, since laptop and desktop layouts train differently |
| Display | 1280 by 720 or higher |
Set the correct keyboard layout when creating the profile. Practising the wrong layout builds the wrong habits and undoing that takes longer than learning it did.
The background analyser can be disabled at any time from the settings without removing the course itself.
