About this release

This one is unusual in that the entire thing is readable. It is a batch and PowerShell collection with no compiled binary anywhere in the package, which means anyone who wants to know exactly what it does to their machine can open the files in a text editor and read every line before running anything. That transparency is the single reason it has the reputation it does, and it is why a lot of people who will not touch a compiled activator will run this.

The interface is a console menu rather than a window. You start the entry script, you get a numbered list, and you choose the method you want. Each option explains what it changes, where it writes, and how to undo it. There is a troubleshooting section for the usual failure states, a check activation status option that reports what the machine currently thinks it is, and a full removal routine that takes the system back to where it was.

Several methods are offered rather than one, because the right approach depends on the edition. There is a key management route that points the machine at a local service, an approach that works against the store licensing component for retail editions, an offline route for machines that will never see a network, and an option covering the Office suites separately from the operating system so you can do one without the other.

Everything is scheduled rather than permanent where the method requires renewal, and the scheduled task it creates is visible in Task Scheduler under its own name so you can inspect or delete it. Nothing runs resident, nothing sits in the tray, and no service is installed. The package is small enough to keep on a maintenance stick alongside the rest of your tools.

What you get

  • Entirely plain text batch and PowerShell with no compiled components in the package
  • Console menu with several methods covering Windows editions and Office suites separately
  • Status check option that reports the current licensing state in plain language
  • Offline route for machines that will never be connected to a network
  • Full removal routine that returns the system to its previous state
  • Troubleshooting section covering the common failure codes with explanations
  • Scheduled task created under a visible name so it can be inspected or deleted
  • Works on client and server editions including ARM64 hardware
  • No resident process, no tray icon and no installed service
  • Small enough to keep on a maintenance USB stick with the rest of your tools

Changes in this build

  • Support extended to the newest servicing branch of Windows 11
  • Office 2024 handling folded into the same menu path as the earlier suites
  • Troubleshooting section rewritten with clearer explanations of each error code
  • Removal routine now cleans up entries left behind by other tools
  • Console menu redrawn so it stays readable in a resized terminal window

Installation

Read the whole list before you start. Most of the reports that come into the desk about this title turn out to be a step taken out of order.

  1. Extract the archive. Do not run anything from inside the archive viewer.
  2. Read the included text file first. It explains what each menu option changes.
  3. Add the folder to your antivirus exclusions. Heuristics flag the script text itself.
  4. Right click the entry script and choose Run as administrator.
  5. Pick the method that matches your edition from the numbered menu.
  6. Use the status check option afterwards to confirm the result.

Notes from the desk

Your antivirus will object. The detection is on the behaviour of the script text, not on a payload, and you can read the files yourself to confirm that.

Run it from a folder path with no spaces or unusual characters. Some of the routines are sensitive to that.
