WPS Office is a full office suite that reads and writes the Microsoft formats natively rather than converting them on the way in and out. A document created here saves as a real DOCX, a workbook saves as a real XLSX with the formulas intact, and a deck saves as a real PPTX with the animations and slide masters preserved. That single behaviour is why it ends up on so many machines that need to exchange files with people running the Microsoft suite but do not want a second suite install fighting over file associations.
The three main applications are Writer, Spreadsheets and Presentation, and they sit inside one window with browser style tabs. You can have a contract, a budget and a pitch deck open beside each other and move between them without hunting through the taskbar. Writer covers styles, sections, headers and footers, footnotes and endnotes, mail merge, track changes with proper revision marks, comments threaded per reviewer, and a table of contents that rebuilds from heading levels. Spreadsheets carries over a thousand functions, pivot tables, conditional formatting, data validation, goal seek, and chart types that match what the other suite produces so nothing turns into a picture when the file moves on.
The PDF side is unusually complete for a bundled tool. It reads PDFs in the same window, converts them out to Writer or Spreadsheets with the layout held together, merges and splits files, reorders and rotates pages, annotates, adds watermarks and signatures, and exports any document straight to PDF with bookmarks generated from the heading structure. For a lot of people this replaces a separate PDF application entirely.
This build has the premium tier unlocked, which removes the advertising panel, lifts the page and file size ceilings on conversion, and enables the full template library, the batch operations and the cloud sync panel. It installs alongside an existing Microsoft Office install without breaking it, though you will want to decide once which one owns the file associations and leave it there.
Read the whole list before you start. Most of the reports that come into the desk about this title turn out to be a step taken out of order.

Decide once which suite owns the document file associations. Letting both claim them produces a prompt every time you double click a file.
Turn off the built in updater in the settings panel. An update replaces the unlocked components.
