The obstacle that stops most people installing Windows 11 is the hardware gate. The stock installer refuses to continue without a trusted platform module and a processor from the approved list, which rules out a large number of machines that run the operating system perfectly well once it is on. This image has those checks lifted, so it installs on older hardware without the registry editing detour partway through setup.
The Professional feature set is intact: BitLocker, Remote Desktop hosting, domain join, the Group Policy editor, Hyper-V, Windows Sandbox, Windows Subsystem for Linux with graphical application support, and update deferral controls that genuinely defer. Snap layouts, snap groups and the improved multi monitor window restore are the parts you will notice within the first hour.
Office installs as full desktop applications rather than the trimmed web versions. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Publisher and OneNote all arrive with the complete ribbon, macros, add-in support, pivot tables and mail merge. Both halves come up already licensed with no key entry, the image is multilingual with the language picked at setup, and cumulative updates apply normally afterwards.
Read the whole list before you start. Most of the reports that come into the desk about this title turn out to be a step taken out of order.

Take a full backup first. This replaces an operating system and everything on the target volume.
On machines without a trusted platform module, BitLocker needs a password unlock rather than a transparent one.
