A stripped Windows 11 Professional image with the hardware checks removed and the background services cut back, aimed at machines the standard installer refuses.
Two problems are being solved here at once. The first is that standard Windows 11 media refuses to install on a machine without a security module, a supported processor generation and secure boot, and a great many otherwise capable machines fail one of those checks for no reason connected to how well they would actually run it. Those checks are removed in this image, so setup proceeds normally on hardware the official installer will not touch.
The second problem is weight. Windows 11 idles higher than its predecessor, and on a machine with four gigabytes of memory and a mechanical disk that is felt immediately. This build removes the store applications, the widgets stack, the telemetry and diagnostics services, the background content delivery, the suggestion machinery and a long list of scheduled tasks. What is left boots quickly, sits at a much lower idle, and leaves the memory for whatever you actually wanted to run.
The servicing stack is kept intact deliberately, which is the main difference between this and the more aggressive stripped builds. Cumulative updates still install, so the machine does not become frozen in place the moment you finish setting it up. Optional features can be added back from the standard panel, and the store component can be reinstalled if you decide you want it after all.
It is a Professional base, so BitLocker, Group Policy, Remote Desktop hosting, domain join and Hyper-V are all available. The image is multilingual with the language chosen at setup, it uses the standard setup path so repair installs behave normally, and it arrives licensed with nothing to run afterwards. The included documentation lists exactly what was removed so you know what you are getting.
Read the whole list before you start. Most of the reports that come into the desk about this title turn out to be a step taken out of order.

Feature updates from the standard channel may reintroduce the hardware checks. Cumulative updates are fine, but be careful with a full version upgrade.
Install your drivers manually. The stripped setup media carries far fewer of them than standard media does.
