Adobe Premiere Pro 2026
The timeline that most of the industry cuts on, with the text based editing pass, native multiformat handling and the whole audio workflow intact.
Performance DJ software with four decks, stem separation, hardware control across the supported controller range and every expansion pack included.
Serato DJ Pro is performance software, which means it is built to be reliable under a load rather than to be feature complete on a specification sheet. The audio engine is the reason it is trusted in clubs: low latency, stable under long sets, and it does not stall when the library is being read from at the same time as a track is being loaded. Everything else is designed around not interrupting a set.
It runs up to four decks with independent tempo, key and effect chains, a mixer section with filters, a sampler with as many banks as you need for stings and loops, and a recording function that captures the master output to a file while you play. Beatgrids are analysed on import and can be corrected manually. Key detection drives the harmonic mixing display, and sync locks decks together without giving up manual control of the pitch fader.
Stems separation splits a track into vocal, melody, bass and drum parts live, on the deck, without any preparation pass beforehand. That opens up acapella drops, instrumental beds and live remixing from a normal track file, and the isolation quality is good enough to use in front of people rather than only in practice. Combined with the pad modes for cue points, loop rolls, slicing and the sampler, it covers the routines that used to need prepared edits.
The Suite bundle is the whole expansion set rather than the base product. Video playback and mixing with transitions, the DVS control for timecode records and compact discs, the full effects packs, flip for saving and replaying edit routines, the pitch and time expansion, and the recording and broadcast tools. Hardware support covers the full supported controller and mixer range with plug and play mapping.
Read the whole list before you start. Most of the reports that come into the desk about this title turn out to be a step taken out of order.

Analyse your whole library before a set rather than during one. Analysis while playing is possible but it competes for the same disk.
Keep the library on an internal or a directly attached drive. Playing from a network share will eventually drop out.
