Adobe Premiere Pro 2026
The timeline that most of the industry cuts on, with the text based editing pass, native multiformat handling and the whole audio workflow intact.
A multitrack editor with unlimited tracks, colour grading, motion tracking, multicam and a built in screen recorder, with the full Ultimate effects collection unlocked.
Pinnacle Studio Ultimate is a full multitrack video editor that sits comfortably between the simple social editors and the heavy professional timelines. It has an unlimited track count, keyframable everything, and the storyboard and timeline views side by side, so you can rough an edit out as a sequence of cards and then drop into the timeline for the frame accurate work. For most projects that is exactly the right amount of application.
The Ultimate tier is where the useful additions live. Colour grading gets scopes, curves, colour wheels, HSL selective adjustment and LUT import. Motion tracking follows an object through a shot and carries a mask, a blur, a title or a graphic with it, which covers face blurring, sign replacement and tracked callouts. Video masking supports shape and freehand masks with feather and keyframed motion. Multicam handles up to six angles with audio waveform synchronisation and live switching during playback.
The screen recorder is built in rather than a separate product. It captures a display, a window or a region with system audio and microphone on separate tracks, follows the cursor with an optional zoom, and drops the finished capture straight into the timeline. Combined with the picture in picture and callout tools, that makes it a practical choice for tutorial and software documentation work.
Around all of that is a large effects and transition library, title templates with animated presets, a 360 degree video workflow with reframing to standard aspect ratios, audio ducking and noise reduction, blend modes across tracks, speed ramping with time remapping, and export presets for common devices and delivery targets up to 4K with hardware acceleration on current graphics hardware.
Read the whole list before you start. Most of the reports that come into the desk about this title turn out to be a step taken out of order.
| Processor | Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 or better, quad core, 64 bit |
|---|---|
| Memory | 8 GB minimum, 16 GB for 4K work |

Install the bonus content packs after the main application rather than during. Doing both at once occasionally leaves the effects library half registered.
Keep the render folder off the system drive. The application does not clean up preview files aggressively.
