A small deployment front end that pulls the suite straight from the source servers, lets you pick the exact channel, edition and applications, and finishes with the licensing already in place.
This is not an image, it is a front end. The package is a few megabytes and contains no Office files at all. What it does is drive the official deployment mechanism, which means every byte that lands on your machine comes down from Microsoft's own content servers exactly as it would on any managed corporate rollout. The practical result is a genuinely clean install that is bit for bit what the vendor ships, with none of the repackaging that makes offline images unpredictable.
The value is in the choices it exposes. You select the product, and that covers ProPlus, the 2021 and 2024 perpetual suites, the standalone applications, Project and Visio. You select the update channel, which decides whether you sit on the frequently updated branch or the slower enterprise one. You pick 32 or 64 bit, you pick your display and proofing languages, and you check off exactly which applications get installed so Access and Publisher are not dropped onto a machine that will never use them.
For anyone who has fought with a broken Office install, the repair and removal side is worth the download on its own. It can strip every previous installation, including the leftover registry entries and licensing state that normally block a fresh install, and it does that without you hunting down a separate removal utility. There is also a channel switch option that moves an existing install between branches without a full uninstall.
The licensing step is handled at the end of the install rather than being baked into a modified file set, and the tool reports the resulting state in its own status panel so you know where you stand before you open a single application.
