A ribbon of several hundred added spreadsheet operations that replace the macros and manual passes most people write again on every workbook.
Kutools adds two ribbon tabs to Excel containing several hundred operations that the application does not provide directly. None of them are exotic. They are the things that come up constantly and that otherwise take a macro, a helper column or fifteen minutes of manual work: combining sheets, splitting a column properly, removing every blank row, comparing two ranges, converting a text number back to a real number across a whole sheet.
The range and cell tools are the ones people use daily. Merge or split cells while keeping the content, transpose a table with its formulas intact, flip a range, swap two ranges, fill blanks downward, convert between text and value, remove leading and trailing characters, add prefixes and suffixes across a selection, and split one column into several by any delimiter with a preview before it commits.
The workbook and worksheet tools work at the file level. Combine many workbooks or many sheets into one with a source column added, split a sheet into separate files by the value in a chosen column, copy a sheet into every workbook in a folder, rename sheets in bulk from a list, create a navigable index of sheets, and print several ranges or several workbooks as one job with page breaks handled sensibly.
Beyond that there is a large set of specific tools: advanced duplicate and unique selection, comparison between two lists with the differences highlighted, a super filter that stores complex filter sets, dynamic charts, a navigation pane that indexes every workbook, sheet, column and name, a formula helper with several hundred prewritten formulas, date and time conversion, currency and unit conversion, and a workbook safety net that snapshots a sheet before a bulk operation.
Read the whole list before you start. Most of the reports that come into the desk about this title turn out to be a step taken out of order.

Match the add in architecture to the office install rather than to the operating system. A 64 bit system frequently carries a 32 bit office.
Take a snapshot before any bulk operation across a whole workbook. Most of these operations are not undoable through the standard undo stack.
