The interface is one button and that is deliberate. Copy a link, press paste, choose the format and quality from the dialogue that appears, and the file lands in the folder you set. There is no queue to configure, no browser extension to keep working and no settings you have to understand before it does anything useful. For most people that is the entire product.
What it will actually fetch is broader than the name suggests. Video up to the highest resolution and frame rate the source offers, including high dynamic range variants where they exist. Audio extracted straight to a file without a separate conversion pass. Subtitles either as a separate track or burned into the picture, in every language the source carries, including the automatically generated ones. Three dimensional and three hundred and sixty degree formats where they are published.
Playlists and channels are handled properly rather than as an afterthought. Paste a playlist link and it offers to take the whole thing, with a naming template so files come out ordered rather than as a heap of identical looking names. The subscription feature watches a channel and pulls new items automatically as they appear, which turns it into something closer to a recorder than a downloader.
The unlocked build here removes the item limits, the daily caps and the advertising panel from the free tier, and enables the smart mode that applies your last chosen format and quality automatically so pasting a link becomes genuinely one step. Proxy support, parallel download limits, an in application preview and a simple library of what you have already taken finish it off.
Read the whole list before you start. Most of the reports that come into the desk about this title turn out to be a step taken out of order.

Leave automatic updates off. An update replaces the licensing component and puts you back on the free tier limits.
If a link fails to parse, it is almost always because the host changed its manifest format. Waiting for the next build is more productive than reinstalling.
